1. What is POURO SATHI?

Pourosathi is an online web-based public grievance and redressal monitoring system. It is a step towards making a bond with citizens of this municipality by serving the people through speedy and timely redress of their complaint regarding municipal service. This system is developed under the National Clean Air Programme [NCAP] aiming for a better environment through up gradation of municipal services related Solid Waste Management, Public Health and various municipal matters.

It is a system where citizens can track the status of their lodged complaint and its timely resolve. This system empowers Barrackpore Municipality’s citizens to follow the path of Participatory Governance.

2. What is the Public Grievance & Redressal System?

The Public Grievance & Redressal System is an online platform that allows individuals to raise grievances and seek resolution for various issues, such as municipal services related Solid Waste Management, Public Health and various municipal matters, and more.

3. How can I register an account in the system?

To register an account, click on the "Sign Up" link on the homepage of pourosathi.in and fill in the required information, such as your full name, mobile number, and a security code. Then click Next then enter the OTP (one time password) sent to the given mobile number. Then click Next. Once OTP is validated, you can give your desired username and password and click on Finish. Once registered, you can log in using your credentials.

4. How can I submit a grievance?

To register a complaint on POURO SATHI web portal, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click on the "Complaint Registration" link under "Grievance / Complaints" on the dashboard.
  3. Provide details of your complaint, including the Complainant's Name, Grievance Category, Ward No, Road Name, Grievance Location, Nearest Landmark, Grievance Details, and any supporting documents or images.
  4. Submit the complaint form.
  5. You will receive a confirmation message and a sms to your mobile number with your registered complaint ID for reference.

5. Can I track the status of my submitted grievance?

Yes, you can track the status of your submitted grievance by visiting the "Grievances / Complaints" section in your account. You will find information about the current status, any updates, and the resolution progress.

6. How long does it take to resolve a grievance?

The time taken to resolve a grievance depends on various factors, such as the complexity of the issue, the availability of resources, and the nature of the grievance. Our official staffs, administrative departments as well as municipal councillors strive to address grievances promptly and provide updates on the progress.

6. Can I provide additional information or updates to my submitted grievance?

No, once you have submitted the grievance successfully, you can not modify or update the same.

7. What should I do if I forgot my password?

If you forgot your password, you can click on the "Forgot Password" link on the login page or home page. Follow the instructions provided to reset your password and regain access to your account.

8. Why can't I log in as a Citizen user through the Official Login window?

The Official Login window is specifically designed for authorized personnel. Citizen users have a separate login mechanism tailored to their needs. Please make sure you are using the correct login method provided for Citizen users.

9. Can I sign up with the same mobile number more than once?

No, the signup process allows Citizen users to register with their mobile number only once. This ensures that each Citizen user has a unique account and prevents duplicate registrations.

10. I'm having trouble logging in as a Citizen user. What should I do?

If you're experiencing difficulties logging in, please ensure that you are using the correct login credentials (username and password). If the problem persists, you can reach out to our departments for assistance or whatsapp us on +91 81004 28725. Provide them with details about the issue you're facing, and they will help you resolve it.

11. How can I change my password?

To change your password, log in to your account and navigate to the user profile section. Look for the option "Change Password" to change your password and follow the provided instructions to set a new password of your choice.
